St.Albans boss Kruni Razov has urged his side to keep its feet firmly on the ground after Saturday’s crucial 3-1 win over Kingston City.

The victory tightened the Saints’ grip at the top of the NPL standings in the West, as it clings on to a narrow one point lead over its title rivals North Geelong and Whittlesea Ranges.

“We have three big games to go and with North Geelong and Whittlesea winning today it still only puts them a point behind us,” Razov told MFootball.

“Any bit of a slip up will be costly, but you can see we will be in the running.”

Razov cited the recent defeat to Werribee City as a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of the West this season.

“There’s no easy games and we found that out last three weeks ago against Werribee. Even though we dominated we conceded a 91st minute goal,” he said.

“That game is still running through the players heads and I think they now understand the importance of the remaining games.”

Razov was beaming with pride after Dinamo’s stirring performance, praising the resilience showcased by the players to pick themselves up after the home side roared back into contention during the second half.

“Kingston, who are a very very good side, really pressed us in that first 15-20 minutes,” the St. Albans coach said.

“To concede that goal then come back and score two goals was fantastic.”

The former Dandenong City coach made a match turning move introducing Goran Jozeljic, who would go on to restore the Saints’ lead with a thumping header inside the final ten minutes.

Razov was delighted with the impact the seasoned striker made just minutes after entering the fray.

“He’s been coming off the bench so impact like that is all you can ask for” said Razov.

“He’s been here for a long time so its just fantastic.”

The league leader hosts Sunshine George Cross on Sunday.
