Box Hill United has moved to reinforce its defence by signing Lewis Waddell for the 2017 NPL2 campaign.
Waddell, 22, moves to Wembley Park from Bulleen Lions, replacing the outgoing Michael Godfrey.
North Geelong Warriors have received a major boost with the confirmation that Daniel Zilic and Michael Anderson will stay on for another year.
Zilic will notch up his tenth season at the Warriors following his arrival at Elcho Park in 2008, while Anderson was a key part of North’s promotion, having netted in his side’s defeat of Richmond in the promotional play-off in September.
The duo will look to help North Geelong in its first stint in the NPL since 2014. They will be joined by Nicholas Jurcic, Josh Pugh, Anthony Banovac, Matt Thorne, Darren Lewis, Vito Cichello and Matthew Townley.
Meanwhile, St Albans Saints will have Ryan McGuffie within its ranks once more after the 2016 Best and Fairest winner pledged his commitment to Dinamo in 2017.
The Scotsman will be flanked by a number of new signings and resignings as the Saints’ squad continues to take shape.
Finally, NPL regional side Bendigo City welcome back Ahmed Badawy for his second season.
Born in Sweden, the 26-year-old has spent time with Sweden’s AIK, Belgium’s KAA Gent and Egypt’s Al Ahly.
Badawy will form part of Srecko Baresic’s squad after taking the reigns from former boss Jose Santamarta.
