Green Gully will have goalkeeper Rani Dowisha, Daniel Jones and Matthew Breeze within its ranks for the 2017 NPL season after confirming that the three have signed on for one more year.

The Damascus-born shot-stopper was picked up by Melbourne Victory’s youth outfit in 2010, before he was eventually released in 2013, going on to join South Springvale Aris.

Dowisha made a name for himself in the 2014 FFA Cup, helping South Springvale surpass South Cardiff to the Round of 16 before joining Gully shortly after in December 2014.

The 24-year-old was a key part of Green Gully’s 2016 FFA Cup run, which saw Arthur Papas’ men take down A-League side Central Coast Mariners and then Melbourne Knights, before it bowed out against Canberra Olympic at the quarter-final stage.

Breeze remains part of Gully’s plans after a horrid 2016, which saw him ruled out for the majority of the season due to a knee injury sustained in the club’s opening round clash.

The English-born winger scored Gully’s opening goal against Melbourne Knights at Somers Street in Round 1, but went down later in the game with a knee injury and was taken from the field.

Daniel Jones finished one point ahead of Breeze in the club’s 2015 Best & Fairest count after scoring seven times in 21 appearances.

The trio join Callum Richardson, Luke Walker, Aaron Ward, Kliment Taseski, Jay Davies, George Lambadaridis and Nick Krousoratis to have stayed on at Green Gully Reserve.
