St Albans has continued to bolster its squad ahead of a 2017 NPL Victoria campaign, today unveiling the signing of former Hume City midfielder Hernan Espindola.
Espindola joined Hume City after a spending time with Melbourne City, where he made two appearances for its A-League team.
The 22-year old is the second off-season signing made by St Albans, who last week announced the signing of former Avondale custodian Chris May.
Epsindola, a former Australian Youth international, also had stints at fellow NPL Victoria sides Pascoe Vale and Goulburn Valley Suns, as well as Melbourne Victory’s National Youth League side.
St Albans secured promotion back to the top flight of Victorian Football after it finished top of the NPL 2 East conference in 2016, before it was defeated by fellow promoted side Kingston City in the NPL 2 Grand Final at Lakeside Stadium.
Espindola and May will further strengthen Kruni Razov’s side, which had earlier announced a batch of re-signings, with Joseph Monek, Nick Sarbin, Nana Yaw Otuo, Rodrigo Covarrubias, Ben Shaper and Michael Gurgic all recommitting themselves to another campaign at the Churchill Reserve based club.
